Privacy Policy

KiddoSpark · Last updated: September 4, 2026

KiddoSpark ("the App," "we," "us") is an educational app for children ages 5–10, covering English, Maths, and Science. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to parents and guardians. We are committed to protecting children's privacy and complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.

For Parents: KiddoSpark is designed to be used by children under direct or indirect parental supervision. The App currently operates in Guest Mode only, with no account sign-in required, and stores progress locally on the device.

1. Information We Collect

Guest Mode: KiddoSpark operates entirely in Guest Mode. Any nickname and avatar your child chooses are stored locally on the device only and are never transmitted to us, to Google Analytics, or to any other third party.

App Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which subjects (English, Maths, Science, Logical Reasoning) are opened, whether a mini-game was started, and general engagement patterns like session length and device/browser type. This data is anonymous and aggregated. It does not include your child's name, avatar, precise location, or any other personal identifier. See Section 3 for details on how this is configured for a children's app.

App Activity: Learning progress (e.g., subjects completed, quiz scores, game results) is stored locally on the device so that progress can be saved and resumed. This data is not currently linked to any account or transmitted off the device.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone/camera data, or any other sensitive device permissions.

2. How We Use Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not use information collected from children for behavioral advertising or marketing purposes, and analytics data is never used to build an advertising profile of your child.

3. Analytics (Google Analytics)

KiddoSpark uses Google Analytics to measure app usage in aggregate. Because this App is directed at children, Analytics is configured specifically for that context:

The data Analytics receives is limited to anonymous, aggregated usage signals — for example, that a user switched to the Maths subject, answered a question correctly, or started a mini-game. It does not include your child's name, avatar, or any other information that could identify them individually. You can read Google's own privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Third-Party Services

KiddoSpark currently relies on the following third-party services to operate:

KiddoSpark does not use ads or any sign-in providers, and has no plans to add them. This Privacy Policy will be updated in advance if that ever changes.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

KiddoSpark is directed at children. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is described in this policy, and we do not condition participation in any activity within the App on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is described here, or you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the details in Section 8.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. As the App does not currently collect personal information or require account sign-in, there is no password or account data for us to store. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

Progress data (including your child's chosen nickname and avatar) is stored locally on your device and is retained until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. We do not retain this data on our servers. Anonymous, aggregate Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 2 months, as described in Section 3. If a sign-in feature is introduced in the future, this section will be updated accordingly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
